The university campus is located on the southern outskirt of the city. There are several ways to get there:

Bayreuth does not have an airport, but can be reached by train, bus or car from the airports in Nuremberg, Munich or Frankfurt.

From Nuremberg, Munich or Frankfurt airport, Bayreuth can be reached by train via a change in Nuremberg. Further information is available on the homepage of Deutsche Bahn.Attention! Please make sure to step in the right section of the train with the destination "Bayreuth Hbf". The train will be divided on the way to Bayreuth!

On campus there are three bus stops: Mensa, Geowissenschaften and Uni-Verwaltung. Line 316 (limited runs) runs between the main station and the campus. The campus can also be reached from the central bus stop (ZOH) by the lines 304, 306 or 326 "Bus stop Mensa": Further information is available on the homepage of VGN.
